Megan is the Creative Director of the award-winning design team at AHIP, whose members include health insurance providers, health tech companies, and other health care and wellness brands. Our work has one key mission: to ensure all Americans have access to affordable, equitable health care.
As a hands-on leader, Megan oversees the brand strategy, compliance, team development, and ensures all products align with corporate goals.
Early 2020, AHIP embarked on a journey to rebrand the company to better represent the breadth of health care services their members provide. The pandemic played a role in the end result, as we pivoted the brand toward the kind of personal attention and compassion required in the future of health care.
The logo positions the company as a leader in the industry with warm, bold characters. The vibrant, approachable color palette modernizes the brand and the font selection is familiar and easy to digest.
Employee buy-in of the new brand has been a huge success due to a suite of templates and resources to allow employees to seamlessly transition their products.
AHIP Rebrand

Office Mural
Role: Creative Direction, Artist Selection, & Project Management.
Megan worked with an interior designer and mural artist to revitalize AHIP’s lobby in preparation to welcome employees back into the office after years of working remotely.
In addition to selecting furniture, adding a custom digital screen display, and reconfiguring the layout, Megan commissioned an artist to design and execute a mural spanning two levels of the office lobby.
The mural represents AHIP’s tagline, Guiding Greater Health. Megan provided a detailed creative brief, concept, and vision for the mural, working with the artist through draft sketches before landing on the final design.

Video & Motion Graphics
Role: Creative Direction, Strategy, Storytelling.
Megan strategizes with the AHIP digital team and consultants to produce informative and educational video products that tell the industry’s story with a voice and style that speaks to consumers. Each video addresses key industry initiatives and amplifies the impact of AHIP’s members’ efforts.
A Mural with a Mission tells the story of AHIP’s mission statement through the voices of its members, employees, and the artist who crafted the mural. Megan shaped the narrative of this piece and served as an Executive Producer in every step of its creation. Megan identified and scheduled member executives and employees, directed interview shoots in Baltimore, D.C., and Phoenix, sorted through transcripts to craft a compelling story, and ensured every motion graphic was pixel-perfect for the final product.
Website Redesign
Role: Creative Direction, Strategy, Design.
Partnering with internal stakeholders and external consultants, Megan oversaw the redesign of AHIP.org to improve the brand experience, align with the company’s strategic initiatives, and ensure optimal user experiences based on key metrics.
Enhanced features, such as automated PDF previews, significantly reduce the number of graphic assets required and streamline the process for content owners and the design team. By moving to a new CMS platform, the site is capable of handling interactive graphics and modular layouts to increase engagement and visit duration on key pages.
